Looking back, it may have seemed like a strange choice given our limited time frame, as it took over half an hour for our order to be brought out. However, it was well worth the wait! The breakfast spread included mushrooms, eggs, bacon, halloumi, toast, beans, tomatoes, spinach, and relish, all served in small dishes with tongs. We had a great time digging into the delicious food, which was incredibly tasty. The scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, and halloumi were particularly outstanding. The halloumi was cooked to perfection, unlike any I have ever had before. My husband couldn't get enough of the mushrooms. The atmosphere of the restaurant was lovely, and the food was so good that he's keen to come back again tomorrow! I wonder why more cafes don't offer a similar big breakfast option for two, as it was exactly what we were looking for. Overall, it was a perfect dining experience.
Wandered in for breakfast this morning, good coffee and the poached eggs on rye were perfect. A warm feeling in my belly in a crisp morning.
One morning, breakfast at the conference was muffins and fruit. I silently turned around and reached for my phone to search for the nearby cafes I had bookmarked. The nearest one was Cafe Lola and I was extremely glad I found it. Cafe Lola is located right on the wharf and it’s hard to miss – just follow the coffee-centric signs.
The food was delicious! We tried the lola pods, and both the fresh salmon and amazing lamb kofta were excellent. The only downside was that the coffee was a bit burnt. Otherwise, I would have rated this restaurant 5 stars.
On our final day in Tasmania, we were looking for a quick and tasty meal. This cafe appeared to be popular with the locals, so we decided to give it a try. We ordered the Brekkie Paleo Pod with eggs, spinach, and smoked salmon for $15.50. Although it took some time to prepare, it was definitely worth the wait. The dish was absolutely delicious!
