There are a variety of seat combinations, many wooden furniture, background mood music and ceiling fans that make for a...relaxing ambience. Our coffee was hot with a good taste, but rather slow in delivery. We had to help a disposable cup of water ourselves. There were some newspapers that were a nice note. During our second visit we had a window seat, with a great view of the road, but the old leather chairs were too low for the small table. We will return.
It was Easter Sunday. Not many places were open, so we were happy. It's in a pretty intelligent building and looked good. When we came to the café, it wasn't business, and the staff was nothing behind the counters. We saw... for an empty table, but the ones who were unoccupied by people and had room to sit, the tables had not been deleted. The dishes and left remains of the previous inmates remained in place. No staff has contacted or offered a word for welcome. An older gentleman seemed to be the only one responsible for cleaning the tables and working in a snail pace. There were still large amounts of remains on the plates, suggesting that this place did not serve food of the highest quality. With the right management and a motivated team of employees, this place could be excellent, but unfortunately he has nothing. We were sitting a few minutes before leaving without evening. We moved to Daci and Daci, which I found later, was rated the fourth best restaurant in Hobart. The dome deserves it, it is low and Daci and Daci earn their high placement. It is such a shame that the staff in the dome lacks training and motivation to do better.
We had recently lunch here the place was quite clean, the menu is ok nothing fantastic, but they do not have extensive drinks menu. Our food was fast to come, but it wasn't quite amazingly basic search and tasting. This is a nice place to eat a quick bite, but nothing special, service was sufficient, but not super helpful and the food was ok.
I recently had lunch at Dome in Hobart and was extremely disappointed with the food and service. Firstly, the only drink options available were soft drinks from a limited selection of bottled beverages in the fridge. They did not have a common option like lemon lime bitters. Our meals, which included bovine lasagna, chicken parmagiana, and beef nachos, took 35 minutes to arrive, which was hardly a quick lunch. The lasagna was the best of the three, but when we asked for chips instead of salad with the lasagna, we were told we would have to pay extra for them. The nachos were disappointing, with burnt corn chips, a dollop of sour cream, and a few small cubes of tomatoes, lacking the essential cheese that holds them together. It felt more like an appetizer than a main dish. My wife and I returned our meals for a refund, as the lasagna was only warm. On the positive side, the manager was understanding, apologized, and promptly refunded our money. The chicken parmagiana was decent, but overall, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a quick, affordable meal that meets expectations.
This restaurant on the edge of Elizabeth St Mall offers a great selection of meals and operates on an 'order and pay at the counter, deliver to table' system. The prices are very reasonable and the staff is friendly and helpful.
