Tasman - Hobart

Staff were lovely. All 3 courses were fantastic. They brought each course out perfectly timed. Delicious!

The atmosphere and service was excellent. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Nothing was a problem.The only thing that was a downside was that our table was in the window near the door that goes outside and smokers were standing there. So when we looked out at the view the first thing we saw was smokers and then the boats etc.

My husband and I were staying at the hotel for our anniversary and we enjoyed one dinner and two breakfasts at the Restaurant Tasman. We were delighted with the service and quality of the food. The staff were friendly and obliging, and our special requests were complied with perfectly. We both had steak- and it was cooked exactly as we had requested and was delicious. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant.

A wonderfully old-fashioned dining room. The food was consistent, beautifully cooked, outstanding steak (Cape Grim beef), and a pleasant and knowledgable person serving. The fresh oysters were outstanding (but it is Tasmania), the ambiance was quiet with a lonely piano player in the distant background. Personally I don't like being asked after every course if the food is satisfactory, but this seems to be the norm now. A fantastic wine list. Perhaps a little overpriced.
