The restaurant was not busy, but we waited about 10 minutes before we received water. After a few more minutes, a waiter finally appeared, took our drink order, and everything seemed fine. Our appetizer arrived within about 20 minutes, which was good timing. However, as soon as we finished, a busser cleared our plates without warning. The next course, a gazpacho and salad, took another 20 minutes to arrive, which was surprising given how quickly our appetizer came out. We then waited and waited for a simple dish of grilled salmon, which never seemed to come. At 7:25, the waiter informed us that our dinner was ready. Frustrated, I spoke to the manager at 7:40, who apologized and promised to find out what the issue was. By 7:45, we had still not received our meal, and the manager claimed that the kitchen had been overwhelmed, despite other tables receiving their food after us. This restaurant appears to hire young, inexperienced staff and lacks proper training on how to provide efficient and respectful service. The manager seemed incapable of running the restaurant and had poor customer service skills. He offered to remove the salmon from our bill, which was empty since we never received it. If you are seeking a high-quality and respectful dining experience, I suggest looking elsewhere.
We had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The service was below par and we were unable to get our beef cooked to our liking. While the food was good in the past, it was only average this time. The service was slow and lacking. We will not be returning.
On July 4, 2017, my partner and I celebrated our 5th anniversary by trying out a new restaurant in Holladay. We were immediately seated at Copper Kitchen, which had a small menu but the dishes we selected were full of flavor.
Both are dinner meals were really good. I had Steak and Frites and man the Beef Bourguignon Pasta. The waiter was attentive. We'll be back.
We always go to the Copper Kitchen for a special occasion or to bring people from the family. We 've had always great experiences. Well, this one wasn 't so much. The hostess did an awesome job. My congratulations to him. We got our beautiful spot. When we were having a chat this lady came and pour our water without saying a word. Like: NOTHING. We looked at each other surprised but we thought She must be the busser . (My husband is a restaurant manager and we 've both worked for the restaurant industry so we know what this is about . After a while, the same lady came to our table to take our drinks order. Happened to be the same girl who poured our water. She didn 't acknowledge the fact that we were with babies (Something you would do at least while being fake to MAKE YOUR TIPS . She only asked about drinks and right after if we had decided in our drinks. She did not take the time to introduce herself, or to explain the specials from that night. After waiting for a while, we saw our drinks going to another table and as it was the one next to us, I turned around and explained the lovely couple what was going on. We all laughed and she did apologized the other table when realized but never said anything to us. We had finally our drinks and appetizer which she never asked how it was. Then we asked for salt and pepper which went to another table again. We were SO looking forward to our dinner here and we did not bring home the best experience. What we can say is that we really like the food quality and that it is original. I have to say that I 'm not sure If I will be coming back but what I do think is that the manager should be paying attention to their servers and recommend tips or training to those like ours that time. I even put a note as it was a special occasion (My moms death anniversary . There was NO interaction or care for our table. We usually tip more than what we 're supposed to. Not this time. Too bad.
