The extremely cold...weather guided us in our search of a café or bistro where we could warm up and enjoy a large cappuccino or “Milch Kaffee “ and perhaps a pastry or two. We were not disappointed and we found a warm and cosy table at the back of the main room, where the welcome was an instantaneous success. A real Italian welcome in a small, busy setting, charged with fun and atmosphere by our hosts. We enjoyed our deliciously hot drinks and ordered a Prosecco to round off our afternoon. The ladies went out to do some shopping”for a few minutes”, while I ordered a piping hot Apfel Strudel. An hour or so later, the ladies returned with bags full of shoes and clothes they had found in a nearby shop offering that day only, off everything. Corsa made this à day to remember. Highly recommended for the quality of the food and for the service. Next time you are near Idstein, call in. It’s worth it.
On a cold evening with my family, we needed to get out of the house. While wandering the pictureque town of Idstein, we found Corso. Yes, there were other coffee shops open, but this place seemed to be the most inviting. The menu offers many...different varieties of coffees, both with and without liquor. However, the selection of hot chocolates amazed me. They had whole milk, light, hazelnut, white chocolate and more. My son chose the one called Latte This was by far the best hot chocolate I have ever tasted. It was thick and filled with high quality chocolate. I would argue that this might be the best hot chocolate in the world.
We stopped in Idstein for a short rest from our trip. The waiter was very friendly and the icecream was as good as i could wish for. Especially the hazelnut icecream was nice! Would go there again during a next visit.
On our way home from a skiing trip to Austria we just took an exit to have a short walk. So we were in beautiful Idstein by accident. We saw a lot of people licking ice-cream even it was rather cold outside. It made us...decide to go and have an ice-cream at Corso. My wife and kids love their Schoko-becker and I adored the Waldfrüchten-becker. The two gentlemen behind the counter were Italian (suite and tie and listening to Italian football on the radio). All this for less than euros. A real find! So go and visit Idstein and have an ice-cream at Corso.
Lovely italien ice cream , coffee and cakes. nice to take a seat outside and look at the old city.
