The food did take quite a while to come out and it gets a bit expensive if you order a roll plus something else for one person. Eating out in Jasper is expensive anyhow, but it can get pricey here quick if you are used to ordering multiple dishes at sushi restaurants.
The food was ok. The chicken karaage was tasty and well done, but the noodles were clearly from some instant noodles package. Some were still stuck together after being served.Service was ok but not quick enough. It was definitely understaffed so it was understandable however. The atmosphere was pretty. There were Japanese items everywhere and the lighting in the center of the restaurant gave it a nice ambiance.Dietary restrictions: No peanuts or nuts here.
One Sushi's Farewell to the Sushi Party PlatterIn this picturesque enclave of Jasper, amidst the grandeur of the Rockies, lies a jewel of culinary delights One Sushi. Alas, my recent visit was marked by a lamentable turn of events, for the much celebrated Sushi Party Platter, a symphony of flavors once eagerly anticipated, is now but a memory. The decision to retire this opulent assortment of delicacies left me disheartened, for it was a centerpiece of gatherings and a testament to the artistry of sushi craftsmanship. The symphony of colors and textures, now lost, was a visual delight that heightened the anticipation of the culinary journey that lay ahead.Yet, amidst this somber announcement, it is imperative to acknowledge the undeniable prowess of One Sushi's culinary artisans. The sushi, albeit bereft of its ensemble glory, retained its exquisite quality and delectable taste. Each morsel was a testament to the precision and finesse of their skilled hands. The melt in your mouth freshness of the fish, harmoniously paired with the velvety embrace of perfectly seasoned rice, remained a hallmark of One Sushi's offerings. The subtle interplay of flavors and textures was a nod to the meticulous attention bestowed upon each creation.Despite my melancholy at the absence of the Sushi Party Platter, I must commend One Sushi for their unwavering commitment to culinary excellence. The flavors that graced my palate were a reminder of the artistry and dedication that permeates their kitchen. In this realm of gastronomy, change is the only constant, and while the departure of a beloved creation may evoke a pang of regret, it is a testament to the evolution and innovation that propels the culinary world forward. Thus, I depart One Sushi with mixed emotions a lament for the departed platter, yet a contented palate, savoring the enduring excellence of their sushi creations.Bravo, One Sushi, for your culinary artistry, and may the legacy of your creations continue to enthrall the palates of Jasper and beyond. ?
The sushi wasn't made the greatest you could see in the photos that it wasn't rolled that well, a lot of rice was in the roll. The service was pretty slow even though it wasn't busy.
Great Sushi! I was visiting from NYC and I’ve went to great sushi places and One Sushi was definitely creative and distinct with their taste.Would recommend, especially since there are limited options in this area. It’s a good find.
