Trident - Kinsale

Vegan options for lunch are included on the main menu. There are are three lunch options, vegan Caesar salad, toasted sandwich and beyond burger. The beyond burger was grand. The chocolate tarte for dessert was very tasty. Staff were friendly, even brought out a piece of cake with candles and sang happy birthday to one of our party. Was a nice surprise and a lovely touch, much appreciated. The setting is lovely looking at the boats gliding over Kinsale harbor (though half the view is a cer park which is meh). Cute hotel restaurant. Sadly I ordered the plant based sandwich and not the vegan burger. It was like a child’s grilled cheese. But it was nice to have a couple options! We got the vegan Caesar salad as well.

A couple of options on the vegan menu. Burger, Caesar Salad, Sandwich and a Choc Tart. The burger was very nice, the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was nice. Updated from previous review on 2023-05-14

Had a separate section on the menu for vegan food, included a vegan Caesar salad, sandwich, and beyond burger as well as a chocolate tart for dessert. I got the burger and chocolate tart, both were great

Had a lovely Malaysian style curry here lots of fresh veg in it with some chickpeas so not much protein but good quality. My boyfriend has the mushroom cassoulet which was also lovely. Unfortunately the beyond burger wasn’t on the menu while we were there. Staff are lovely, we sat outside on a gorgeous sunny day.
