The front rooms has larger wooden tables/benches and bar seating, there is a smaller more intimate room in the rear with smaller tables and make sure to check out the barrel table at the back. There is also a small room just to the right as you enter the business perfect for intimate dining. The really friendly hostess was very nice and made me feel at home. They have nice holiday decorations around the business with Xmas items that give the place a very cozy atmosphere. I tried a white wine from the Bodensee area and it was only 3.80€ for a nearly over-flowing glass. The place also serves a limited dinner selection. I was very impressed with the atmosphere and welcoming environment. Highly recommended.
Chanced upon this lovely wine bar. Wine was copious, food pure and simple with perhaps limited choice, but beautifully cooked and very tasty, and the atmosphere was very friendly. Would recommend.
This is a real alternative, because in the Niederburg there are many nice cozy local with good wine - for us late burgundy from the sea - with small things, such as tents, souls or also sausage salad.
We ate dinner at Weingloeckle and were pretty satisfied. The staff was friendly and was even able to accept Swiss franks instead of Euro. Food was great too. Flametart, liver and sausage were all tasty.
I used to go once or twice per month. A beauty place to enjoy with a great typical german wine and typical food which was always perfect and tasty. Price was right. And the best of all was the service: charming and thoughtful, attending every table with efficiency. Last two times we were, the new waitress was rude and unfriendly; she attended only the nearest tables (which I consider discrimination for the far ones where I was); she poured wrong a type of wine and leaving a little bit on the glass, she mixed with the other right type!!! And something where I am probably wrong (because I don't know their course of action): I ordered cold dishes 5 minutes after the kitchen was closed. She answer me about the closing, so I understood the decission. But I remember my first visit on this Weinstube, and how the waitress facing the same situation offered me nicely some cold plates. So next time I decide to go, I'll check firstly across the window and take sure she is not attending.
