I'm pretty upset I missed my chance at the full dining experience, but I'm glad I was about to at least try out the Lounge before they closed. My date and I decided to go all out, and we ordered at least half of the total food menu and most of the cocktails. We loved every bit of it. The cocktails that stood out to me the most were the Black Smoked Manhattan and the Cachaça Beet Fizz. My top three dishes were the Pork Loin Belly, the Morel Fettuccine (with Summer Truffle added), and the French Apple Cake. Overall, it was a fun, relaxed, yet elegant experience for both of us. We hate to see the restaurant go, and we can only hope that the next place provides a similar, elevated experience.
The atmosphere and food were quite enjoyable but what really stood out was how the manager went above and beyond to handle an accident that occured during the meal. A real class act!
I enjoyed less than half of the dishes at this restaurant. The wine sommelier was great and made the meal much better. The bread and butter were good, but the bread itself was very dry. The scallop dish was delicious and cooked perfectly. The soft shell crab dish had too much going on and the seaweed foam was reused from the scallop dish. The Lamb Tartare tasted frozen and flavorless. The mustard ice cream was good though. The palate cleanser was a sorbet with pop rocks, which seemed more like a child's treat. The Elk Tenderloin was cooked perfectly, but my dish had overcooked tenderloin. After three tries, it was finally cooked correctly. The dessert was described as having flavors from a flower garden, but it tasted more like dirt. Overall, the tasting menu did not meet our expectations. I would recommend ordering a la carte instead. We were disappointed after being excited to try this place.
This restaurant is the real deal. In comparison to popular eateries in Boston and Philadelphia, the quality and price here surpasses any competition. The dishes were not only delicious but also daring, with unexpected flavor combinations. The staff provided excellent service. If you're looking for a traditional steak, scallops, or charred Brussels sprouts, this is not the place for you. The menu offers a bold selection of dishes such as mustard ice cream, elk, and smoky whiskey donuts. Overall, dining here is a truly unique and extraordinary experience.
I visited the lounge and found it to be very comfortable. The service was good, I dined in and the meal type was something other than what I expected. The price per person ranged from $1 to $10.
