We have had two dinners here. For the first we were very hungry and decided on the seafood platter for two. What a great spread: a large variety of seafood, the breaded fish/scallops etc were well-done, all fish were extremely fresh and tasty. We were very pleased. The second night we were here we weren't very hungry so we chose the chicken caesar salads. Again, the food was well-prepared and very tasty. We would venture to guess that everything from the kitchen is worthwhile eating. Service was great. Wine choices, were maybe not that great, but there really is no bad Tasmanian wine, and there are plenty of good mainland wines for the picky. Price for the seafood platter was very reasonable for a pair of Canadians who don't get much good seafood where we come from. Highly, highly recommended.
Great value large chicken parmigiana on specials night. Chips tasted like they had been reheated or been in bain marie long time, tough chewy. So I'd suggest people get the vegies instead.
Visited recently with a group of friends for lunch, pleasant, bright venue ... good menu food, friendly and polite team. However, sadly my takeaway from the whole experience was that the venue charges a fee to use cards. I'm sure this would not worry everyone, however it does me. I noticed the sign at the register states the fee is charged to ensure prices are kept down. Perhaps this is a strategy Coles Woolworths or Myer could employ to reduce costs. (imagine the outcry)
We went on steak night and thoroughly enjoyed our meal which was also presented very attractively. They have a great upstairs room and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.
