A true jewel, located just north of June Lake in Lee Vining, provided an unforgettable culinary experience. Local ingredients, impeccable service and a cook with culinary knowledge, how are the outstanding factors for my assessment. But it doesn't end there. This restaurant keeps the test of time by serving experiences for 100 years. Enjoy your meal below, but also safely go down to the second floor where you can enjoy a rich library of cookbooks, appreciate local artist displays, and my favorite, an antique square wing. The Mono Inn is a landmark of Eastern Sierras. Can't wait to return with my family.

Great food, super friendly service and great views of Mono Lake. The salmon rarely comes on a well seasoned sauce and medium. The burger was really good, as well as the fries that came with him. And the Mediterranean spreads were a great start.
New management The Mono Inn is once again one of the best restaurants in Eastern Sierra, as it was 20 years ago. After a few disappointing visits, after Sarah Adams (Ansell's granddaughter) had moved on, we stopped going. A friend shared how good it was on the FB, so we fell in when we came past the grounds. The food and wine was from this world and not overpriced. The service impeccably (thanks Lizzie) and we were dressed for a long drive home in the sweats and that was perfectly acceptable. Unpredictable and affordable. The 30-minute drive from Mammoth Lakes.
The new ownership that took over in May 2021 have done an INCREDIBLE job. The food is excellent, the service was spot on, and the views were amazing. We had a party of four and our reservation was at 5:15. We were seated right away and stayed for a couple hours. Great ambiance. The new owner was the hostess and she was so kind and came around throughout the night to make sure we had everything we needed. The owner mentioned they are starting to do weddings and receptions in April and Brunch starting in April. We can?t wait to come back time and again. What a refreshing change, so glad we went.
