Verde Lihue

We were looking for a restaurant to get out of the heat. we saw dede during the drive and decided to stop. we had chicken quesadillas and the chicken burrito. both were very good and some of the best we ever had. we also tried the tahitian lemon tea. it was very good and refreshing. do not miss this stop while in lihue!

Not only is Verde the best Mexican food on Kauai, it ranks up there with some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had… and that’s saying a lot! The Hawaiian fusion of the horchata with coconut was amazing. The servers were very friends and on point! I also love that they ask you to wash your hands before serving. You know the place is kept clean and ready to serve! Will be back! *Try the fish tacos!

Fast food casual Mexican fare right of the main drag in Lihue. It was busy (always a good sign) but the 3 wait staff rocked it, working like a real team. The alcoholic drinks were really good. Loved the Mahi Mahi tacos. All fish dishes are market price. I think it was around $18. Don't be tempted to order the tres leche.... you'll be disappointed by the gummy texture, bland taste, small size and overpriced.

Ok. It was ok. I got the green burrito. It’s was Honestly kind of weird. It has broccoli and green beans in it. I ate it all. But I wouldn’t get it again for sure. The chips and salsa were kind of ordinary. And the cinnamon fries things were also weird with weird sauce. However I must say the employees working were absolutely undeniably outstanding. I think only three people were working and all three were just incredible. So friendly. Working so fast and hard. And so helpful and never stopped. They all deserve a couple of raises. I was so impressed. Would go back just knowing I would get simply outstanding service!

Food is somewhat tasty and didn't feel like a typical mexican restaurant. Its more like a fusion to my opinion. I took a garlic shrimp burrito. Tasted fine although the shrimp didn't taste garlicy. The vegetarian bowl looked quite green and interesting and it tasted well. We didn't take anything from the bar though.
