Country Pride - Limon

This restaurant used to be a fantastic stop for long journeys. Before Covid, they offered an excellent buffet that attracted many truckers and other customers. However, in August 2023, the buffet was no longer available, and the quality has really declined. The eggs had an unusual taste, and many items on the menu were out of stock. Overall, the food was disappointing, especially considering it was made to order. I was shocked that they would serve such poorly flavored food to paying customers. The service was also slow, as the waitresses seemed more interested in chatting in the back about their dogs and kids than attending to diners.

We visited Country Pride for a nice dinner, and while my meal was satisfactory, my husband's macaroni and cheese was inedible. It had a terrible taste and smell that reminded us of vomit, leading me to suspect it was spoiled. We notified the staff about the issue, but unfortunately, I felt brushed off by their response. They only offered a small discount off our bill, which still totaled $40, and we couldn’t even finish our meals after trying the macaroni. It was quite disappointing; they should have removed that dish entirely from our bill. I absolutely will not be returning to this restaurant.
