People inside all seemed to know one another, lots of regulars. I liked the sausage, my wife less so. All in all, good reliable eats.
We couldn't have chosen a better spot to grab sandwiches for our picnic on Flowerpot Island. The Ferndale Drive In had a great selection of fresh ingredients, plenty of sandwich and sub toppings to choose from, and delicious homemade baked goods for dessert. Everything was top-notch.
I have been a loyal patron of this restaurant for over 25 years, always indulging in their delicious ribs and sausage. However, this week I decided to venture out and try their sandwiches, specifically the BLTs, and I was pleasantly surprised. During our 5-day stay at our cottage in Stokes Bay, my family and I visited the restaurant 6 times because the food was just that good. The kids enjoyed the grilled cheese, my wife liked the subs, and I couldn't get enough of the BLTs. Of course, we all still savored the ribs and sausage that we have come to love over the years. I would give this place a perfect 10 out of 10 for their great prices, top-quality food, and fresh bread. The consistency in the taste of their ribs and sausage over the years has never disappointed me. The only downside is that the restaurant is located at my cottage and not closer to my home.
Its a small mom and pop deli what good home made subs, the sign doesnt lie the subs are great. Fresh buns and local toppings. Good for a kids. Clean and welcoming.
This is by far my favorite sub of all time. The "FDI assorted" is made with freshly sliced ingredients every time you order. It's a must-have whenever I visit Bruce. They are only open from May 24 to Thanksgiving weekend, so be sure to stop by during that time! In addition to amazing subs, they also serve delicious burgers, fries, sausage, and even London ice cream.
