Glad to say that the new Owners/Managers have the place going great food at a nice pace again. Portions were large but also fantastic try the Fajita Chicken, it's **** delicious!!!
I’ve just had the best meal at the new blaze glaze restaurant based in Becketts bar. I had half chicken marinated in delicious bbq sauce with garlic patatoes and salad-price? £7.00. Kids eat free on Sunday’s. we really enjoyed our family meal together. The waitress who served us was amazing-my kids asked for a flake with their ice cream to which she advised they did not have..however, what did this lovely waitress do? She only went to the shop and bought some flakes to put in their ice cream, I could t believe it. I can’t remember her name but she was young and wore glasses, great girl. All in all, I would give my e Keri eve 10/10..don’t forget to book online tho, they don’t take walk ins.
Called in for a coffee on a Saturday night. Brilliant altogether. Whoever made it must love making coffees. Would go again, much good.
My family and I recently dined at Becketts restaurant and it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience, which is rare when we're out with our kids. The restaurant provided arts and crafts for the children, including masks, which kept them happily occupied. This was a great idea and meant that they didn't even ask for their tablets. The waitress who served us was friendly and attentive, which made a big difference to our dining experience. We all had a great time and are looking forward to going back soon. Well done Becketts!
Went yesterday for a family meal. My wife is a wheelchair user and needed to use the toilet. When we eventually found the toilet, it was little more than an old broom cupboard. There was a table, a chair and some BRICKS there. Also, there was no fold away bar for her to lean on. When she went to wash her hands, the tap didn't work. Even before she got into the toilet, we had to move some tables and chairs. My wife asked the waitress if she could wash her hands. The waitress was kind enough to bring her an old ice cream container filled with water. The food was perfectly reasonable and very competively priced. However, when the two course menu offer was presented to us we enquired about desserts. The waitress said sure it's only sticky toffee pudding. Why on earth would you make something and then not try to sell it? Anyhow, back to my original bone of contention. As disabled people, the most important thing to us are things like accessibility to all parts of the establishment. In an establishment selling food, we expect the food to be of a good standard. That's a given. Therefore our impression of the place is based how comfortable we are in it. Because if these issues we are unlikely to be back if we are choosing the venue.
