During my first day in Luang Prabang, I heard that in the ancient capital Lao you could get good French food. And this restaurant was recommended by the reception. Very easy to find in a colonial building of the 1960s. The architecture and the surroundings were rustic and relaxing. The menu was in English, French and Laotian. We ordered Braised Duck and Mustard Rabbit. Every dish had its beautiful points. Overall it was good and pleasant with me. The portions were generous. The staff was attentive, sometimes somewhat attentive. Overall very positive experience!
Laotian-French food with an extremely extensive menu that clearly confused us! But the food wasn't disappointed. Delicious and beautifully presented dishes.
Wonderful French restaurant in Luang Prabang. Excellent food, friendly staff, delicious sweets. One must be in Luang Prabang.
Excellent food. The chef really did an amazing job with the meat. I ordered both duck breast and Laos Steak, medium instead of medium rare, as I was afraid they may serve raw meet. Turned out I was completely wrong. The duck breast was the most tendered and juicy I have ever had, and of course, with cripsy skin. The Laos steak was also cooked to perfection, again very tendered and juicy. Of course, you cannot compare it with those us prime steak. They served New zealand veal and steak if you prefered something with stronger favour and authentic.
