The name 'Isola dei Nuraghi' literally means 'the island of Nuraghi'. Sardinia 's Nuraghi are the conical stone towers that do the landscape in important strategic, defensive positions. They were built between 1900 BC and 730 BC. The 7,000 or so surviving Nuraghi have become symbolic for Sardinia and its distinctive culture. The most famous location is the complex Su Nuraxi di Barumini, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. Meanwhile, this Mediterranean cuisine is also in a UNESCO World Heritage by Luang Prabang! Ate there last night, genuinely one of the best pizzas I've had. My partner who is Italian said the same!! Can't beat the Neapolitan style base definitely forgot we were in Laos for a moment. The owner being Italian you know you're getting the real deal extremely friendly and very accommodating. We had the Quattro Formaggi and Margherita pizzas we're looking forward to going again in a few days!
