This café is fantastic and a 'must-visit' every time I’m in Lynchburg. It perfectly embodies coziness, with a friendly staff and a comfortable atmosphere. They offer an excellent selection of coffee, making it an ideal spot to meet friends for a chat or to work remotely.
I ordered espresso latte and then decided to eat there. I used their QR code to access their menu and got the Western style hamburger with a fried egg on it. the brot was roasted. the fries on the side were hot. the place is located in a converted old building on main st. lynchburg, so it has this picturesque home feeling. it is very cozy. I imagine that the kamin roars on a snowy winter day. that would be really bad.
Terrible experience. The staff, especially the young ones, were not very hygienic, frequently touching their faces while cooking in close proximity. That alone would deter me from wanting to eat there. I ordered the traditional breakfast, which is supposed to come with two eggs, three pieces of bacon, potato pancakes, and toast. When they asked if I wanted toast, I said yes, but my plate arrived without the potato pancakes. If there was a substitute, they should have informed me. Honestly, I would’ve preferred the potatoes over the bread. Additionally, I only received two pieces of bacon instead of three—very disappointing. The bacon was also rough and had too much chipotle seasoning, but I didn’t mention anything. I also ordered a side of fruit, which was tiny and cost $5 (see the pic). They claim the bread is sourced from a bakery, but right in front of the restaurant, there are all these commercial items. I don’t get it. I would not recommend this place.
This cafe was very cozy and bigger than it looks! There is some street seating outside, a big open room in the front, a smaller quieter room in the back, and a large outdoor patio in the back! There were several people working on laptops, and others gathering socially. The staff were helpful at answering questions about the menu. The brown sugar poptart was delicious! I also enjoyed the Gold Hart latte, although it was VERY sweet! I am lactose intolerant, but they had plenty of milk alternative options for lattes. I also tried the drip coffee, and it was exceptional! I don't normally like black coffee, but their drip dark roast didn't need anything to make it tastier!
