The Old Fashioned - Madison

Very good! Lightly moist in the restaurant.. but the food was delicious! I have the cherry salad I usually don't buy salad, but it was amazing! The chicken for a charge of $3 was worth supplementing! The cheese curds were really good! Only the cheese shot out of them! Very cool place to visit! Check out these local favorites!

Came for lunch, which meant that you order in the bar, pay and they bring your food to the table. The waitress touched the table several times to make sure we were satisfied. The food was great. Cheese curds voted best for good reason. Burger, BLT, children mac n cheese and drinks we are all very tasty. Would come back.

If you do not live in Wisconsin or even if you want to do and taste Wisconsin that is your place. Old Fashioned is located in the picturesque downtown of Madison from the capital. The interior decor corresponds to the comfort of the selection on the menu. I ordered the fish comb (perch, cod and Walleye) because I absolutely love Walleye, but never had tried perch (again, I do not live in the region of North Wood). I was glad that I did this because all the fish and my sides (Kolleg, Fritten and Bread) were delicious! Oh, the cheese curds are a scene stool! They were even the best in Wisconsin today. The staff was definitely friendly as we arrived 20 min before closing. Make yourself a favor and try The Old Fashioned. I mean, they even have a picture of Paul Bunyan on the wall, so you know it well.

Everything was so good. Try the cheese curds. I know every restaurant in Wisconsin has it, but these are the best. And try the old fashions. The restaurant is literally named for them, and they have NOT disappointed. I got the chicken roast steak (I put the Gravy on the side, but it usually comes up), and loved it. I'd like to come back!

We ordered the Susans and got a great sampling of Wisconsin. From the Old Fashions to the local brews, this was a great experience. Friendly staff made it perfect!
