Salted caramel waffle - 5 (Waffle at its finest!) meatball pasta - 4 (the meat has an after taste I can't explain but overall it tastes good) This is my definition of a good waffle. Salted caramel waffle is what i'm coming back for, not just once, twice, but whenever I crave for a waffle and ice cream. ????

I just had to take a quick stop to Yardstick, a third wave coffee place that's been winning the hearts of many, not just Makati workers and residents. I'm rarely in the area for its high density that always causes traffic havoc. The place is very spacious, high ceiling with modern industrial look to it. Few spots of the area could also remind you of a warehouse. Interestingly, the wait staff wears casual clothing just like regular customers, this part could confuse. I was when a stranger assisted me out of the blue. My friend and I shared 9 oz. Cafe Latte with two teaspoons of muscovado sugar. Their beans was strikingly strong with its natural sweetness still very much felt. My valid complaint here was temperature. It was rather cold. Oh and they only have full cream milk, what a shame. The Purple Yam waffle was quite shocking. The look was rather instagramable but its waffle had no resemblance of what I expected. I thought they will serve me purple yum flavor but instead it came with Big Scoop Ube flavored ice cream. I felt cheated. And why is the waffle so thick? The Php 290 Salted Egg and Bacon pasta however was spectacular. From its firm noodles, on point salted egg taste and well for adding significant bacon. Kudos as well to its creaminess and rough texture all in one plate. alwayshungry.ph

I loved their Balsamic Mushroom Pasta. It was something new to me. Very flavorful, just the right hint of sour. My friends ordered their beef sandwich, and the other ordered Salmon & Poached Eggs, which were both amazing as well. The place is very spacious, open, and vibrant. Also, the interior is very modern and comfy, perfect for people to study at and hangout. I just found the Chai Tea Latte weird in a way when served cold it tastes horrible, but served hot is amazing. Also, the portion for hot drinks are too small for the price. P.S: When ordering, the cashier will automatically deduct the service charge as well on the spot. So better have extra when paying. (Example: Chai Tea Latte is P140, the cashier deducts P150 without consulting you)
