The food was incredible, with the King Swiss Mushrooms and award-winning Croque Monsieur standing out as some of the best dishes I have ever had. The attention to detail and use of home-grown ingredients, like the mushrooms, truly made the flavors shine. The service was top-notch, with every staff member making sure we felt welcome and well taken care of. The Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate was a highlight for drinks, as it was beautifully presented and delicious. Overall, East Elevation stands out with its quality food and excellent execution, making it one of the best cafes in Melbourne in my book. I can't wait to go back!
Have been coming here for years and the menu hasn’t changed besides some slight variations. I’ve always enjoyed my vegan meals here. The eggplant and bean dish is my favourite but I tried the ginger/ apple porridge and it was yummy! A hot chocolate is a must here, the best in Melbourne. I didn’t give 5 stars only because most of the staff never smile and pretty arrogant attitude for some reason but the food/atmosphere makes me come back.
Very busy cafe, now has many vegan options.<br/ <br/ The coffee is great. They share a building with Monsieur Truffle, so you can get great chocolate here too.<br/ <br/ I've had the vegan big breakfast (delicious) and the eggplant bagel. Both were different, interesting and tasty. Everything was obviously made to order so it was hot and fresh. It means you may have to wait a little longer, but it's worth it.
I love East Elevation not just for their delicious food and standout coffee, but also because they are home to Monsieur Truffe, some of the best chocolates around. The honeycomb dark chocolate is incredible. If you're after something healthier, the roast eggplant and tahini is bursting with a range of flavours and textures, and so fresh. It's light though, so if you're hungry, I suggest adding aides to bulk it up.
I came across this restaurant when they were serving a Stuffed Sweet Potato dish that sounded amazing, but unfortunately it was no longer on the menu. Instead, I tried the Heirloom Tomatoes on toast with feta and basil oil. The dish was simple, fresh, and tasty, and I felt satisfied without feeling overly full afterwards. I am still thinking about how delicious it was and would definitely return to order it again. The menu may be a bit unconventional for picky eaters, but if you appreciate a variety of foods and flavors, you will love it. The coffee was great and while the prices may be a bit high, I was more than happy to pay for such well-made, fresh food.
