The Seafood Pancake and Potato Pancake were both excellent, with the potato pancake being particularly impressive with its crispy exterior and soft interior. The Whole Fried Chicken was a standout dish, fried perfectly crispy with tender juicy meat inside and served with a delightful honey mustard sauce. The Jap Chae was decent but not outstanding. For mains, we tried the Spicy Chicken Bulgogi, Spicy Baby Octopus, Pork Belly BBQ, and Ginseng Chicken Soup. The chicken bulgogi was delicious, especially when paired with the extra stir-fried rice. The pork belly and octopus BBQ was also tasty, although on the sweeter side. The ginseng soup was the least impressive dish, tasting like a regular chicken soup. For drinks, we sampled the Pineapple and Peach Rice Wines, as well as a Korean Rice Wine. The peach wine lacked peach flavor but was lightly sweet, while the pineapple wine had a strong pineapple taste. The cocktails were light and not very strong in alcohol content. Overall, our experience at Mahn Doo was fantastic. While it may be on the pricier side for Korean dining, it was still affordable and worth it. I would highly recommend this restaurant to others.
I arrived right when the restaurant opened and found it to be very quiet, allowing me to take some excellent photos of the interior. I was pleasantly surprised by the food, as I initially thought it might only be average due to the owner's focus on decor. To my delight, all the dishes were made with fresh ingredients and had a delicious taste, thanks to the chef's skill in using just the right amount of seasonings to highlight the original flavors of the ingredients.
The food was delicious, the seating was very comfortable, and the service was excellent. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back for more. Their peach rice wine is the best!
3.5This was a great meal! We didn’t feel like bbq or steamboat type food and were a little worried that we’d be left with little choice, but what we ordered was perfect and plentiful. Started with the crispy school prawns which were ok but probably could have used a dipping sauce (or even some soy sauce). The pork dumplings were amazing. Best dish for me. The zucchini pancake closely followed. The beef bulgogi was also a generous serving. Overall, a really good meal and as a bonus, they’re on EatClub!
