Quick-Bite - Melbourne

A cute little corner cafe in the leafy streets of Abbotsford, Loosie Grind is really popular with locals and nearby workers. I came here recently for a mid week coffee and the place was packed with diners and people grabbing takeaways.<br/ <br/ There is a great display of pre made dishes as well as pastries and cakes, and the ambience is light and airy with a friendly vibe. My coffee and carrot cake were really good, and the service was lovely and quick even though it was quite hectic in there. Busy is a great sign though, and I would agree with the locals that Loosie Grind is a fab little spot for coffee and cake, or a yummy home cooked meal.

My partner ordered a short mac and I had a strong skinny latte.<br/ <br/ The service was really friendly and inviting with a happy demeanour from the staff. <br/ <br/ The coffees were good but I’m not sure if my coffee was strong. The coffee was excellent, and the service just as good. Really friendly staff, and I will be back soon to try what looks like some delicious meals at very very reasonable prices, e.g. $14.50 for a big breakfast w coffee? Really wow!  <br/ <br/ I was planning to bring my friend tomorrow but its closed so it'll have to be next weekend so I'll take some pics of the food then.  <br/ <br/ This place was really busy by the time I left and its not surprising. There is cute little undercover bench outide and they can pass your coffee through a little window, that way you dont have to sit inside on a hot day, what a great idea. This is my kinda place :

Excellent value for money, delicious food, and friendly staff creating a welcoming atmosphere. A nice change from the pretentious cafes in Melbourne. I will definitely return.

Seriously can't fault this place. The staff are wonderful and provide the warmest service, the food is awesome and really great value, the coffee is great. We live two suburbs away but Loosie's is our go to place if we head out for breakfast with the two kids. We always feel so welcomed, and it doesn't send us broke.
