Vy Vy - Melbourne

The fittings inside is very simple but it's also very clean. Cheap food and loved by locals a great little restaurant.

Skip the lines at the other venues, this place does hme styled foods and delivers with with great service. We went with the beef pho and prawn entree. The pho had real sirloin beef and little msg. Great!

Have eaten here quite a few times over the past 3 years. They have some great specialty dishes on the menu, one of my favorites is the Combination Birds Nest. Would call it authentic Vietnamese food only but the food is good. For a Vietnamese Restaurant the prices a on the dear side but not over the top.The service can be a little slow sometimes depending on who is on. A recent slight reno has brightened the place up a little. It can be busy in the area so parking can be a hassle sometimes. If you are in the area I would recommend you go to Vy Vy's.

Another good, cheap spot to eat in Newmarket. Food is cheap and good. Restaurant doesn't look flash but the service is friendly.

Vy Vy is not the most popular restaurant amongst the 'Flemington set'- the trendsetters would rather be seen at a certain overcrowded Malaysian eatery around the corner... Their loss, however, is mine and my wife's gain.Discerning eaters who know their Asian food would agree that Vy Vy is fantastic- unassuming but clean and tidy inside with wonderfully friendly staff and a huge variety of dishes (predominantly Chinese and Vietnamese with a little Malay for good measure). Every dish is cooked with care and expertise and the prices and more than reasonable. Do you stomach a favour and appease your hunger at Vy Vy ASAP- you won't be disappointed! There are a number of Salty Fish Chicken Fried Rice dishes in the area but Vy Vy's is far and away the best as are their pork spring rolls!
