North Star Inn Restaurant - Melrose

Good pub food and best pub in town. Very friendly staff and it’s a great location in this town. We will come back!

Went to the North Star for lunch one day and it turned out to be the best decision we had made for some time. Beautiful meal - delivered in a timely manner, more on the plate than we could handle and the assortment of flavors was outstanding. Best tasting steak I have ever eaten. There was a great family atmosphere and everyone was made to feel welcome and part of the pub.Keep up the good work guys.

We had dinner on 2 nights at the North Star hotel and were very pleasantly surprised at the excellent standard of the food, both mains and desserts. The dining room had a very pleasant ambience and the service was cheerful, too. Prices were quite reasonable. Highly recommended for dinner

One of the top 10 schnitzels I have ever eaten. The chicken schnitty with mushroom gravy and excellent chips was the perfect meal on a wintery night. (And one of my colleagues who had the kangaroo schnitzel said it was great too!) this pub is authentic and delightful - as are the staff, who were very accommodating of our last minute arrival and order before the kitchen's last orders at 8. Highly recommended after a long drive or day of biking. Some good wines on the list too

Great meals here. The service is fantastic, the drinks cold, good selection of local wines & a huge range of snitzels. I had a regular which was very nice, the dirty gringo was hot and great also. We booked for dinner but didn't really need to.
