Contribuisci feedbackWe dine there on a Saturday of August. Without taking the precaution of booking. But still be careful because the Ecu is one of the good tables in this northern corner of Burgundy. I enjoyed everything that was served to me with great pleasure: meurettes and burgundy beef, all accompanied by Irancy (red wine of Yonne, delicious). Yes, it was a diner concept red wine... I was disappointed by the vegetables that accompanied the succulent burgundy beef: ratatouille, spinach flan and polenta flavored with citrus. All three tasty preparations, but not getting married at all with the beef cooked with wine. Quality pasta (fresh or not) or water cooked potatoes would be sufficient. The choices of my spouse delighted him: a calf dish (I forgot which) and the cheese tray of Burgundy served at good temperature. The quantities are sufficient for a dish and/or an entry to fill the average appetites. The most hungry or greedy will go to the 3rd dish. The service is a little valuable to the place, but it is efficient and friendly. The decoration is the other flat of this review: the large restaurant room is really ugly! If it looks good enough, prefer the inner courtyard.
The restaurant was run by the same family that runs the hotel. Food is good and service is good. It's also good that due to also running a hotel, the couple speaks English.
Bonne cuisine, le tout fait maison, bons produits, belle présentation, service soigné et très aimable.Excellente tarte meringuée aux agrumes en dessert. Petit bémol pour la joue de bœuf un peu desséchée.
Dans l'ensemble ce n'est pas trop mal mais il ne faut trop regarder les détails qui pourtant devraient compter pour un restaurant classé 3 cocottes : persil non lavé servi avec du sable, fraise pourrie, pêche en bocaux (dommage en pleine saison des pêches) et légumes très gras... le personnel en salle est peu souriant et le tout dans une salle qui mériterait un coup de balais....il faudrait peut être redressé la barre.
Accueil très agréable, repas succulent : bons produits cuisinés avec raffinement, nous nous sommes régalés.
