The cafe itself is not particularly appealing to sit and enjoy breakfast (I find it quite cold/industrial in its feel, menu is fairly limited too). Staff are polite, I enjoy some good take away coffee with organic fruit toast when you’re on the run.
I'm a semi-regular customer at Elixir, get my caffeine shots about twice a week from here. The coffee is always good and the guys are always a delight
Coffee here is always perfectly made, smells so good and tastes heavenly. I can't do without my morning pick me up and cheerful greeting from the wonderful staff
Elixir Cafe is renown for its good coffee and good food. And so it should be. We were there again recently and the same standard was all there. Friendly and professional staff who know their stuff, great coffee and excellent, breakfast food. There is always a good selection of newspapers for the older generation who actually read newspapers to enjoy!<br/ <br/ We stayed with the 'old standby ' of smashed avocado and eggs on toast. Beautiful. Our friends had scrambled eggs and once again the quality was high.<br/ <br/ Elixir Cafe can get busy at peak times, but the short wait is all worthwhile. Good parking at the Chelsea Village car park.<br/ <br/ Highly recommended.
I've heard about Elixir's great coffee a lot and finally had a chance to try today. Their coffee didnt disappoint me. It's my kind of coffee, smooth and not bitter. Chicken, Avocado Tomato Toastie was tasty and got enough filling. Peach Muffin was cold (not room temperature). I wonder why they didnt offer to warm it up (I didnt realised until I left). Service was good. I definitely would go back for coffee.
