The food was excellent, especially the freshly made and perfectly cooked burger. I was even able to add bacon, despite it not being on the menu. The sampler appetizer was also outstanding, with flavorful Gumbo, jambalaya, and red beans and rice in perfect proportions. We didn't realize it at the time, but this turned out to be the best dining experience we had in New Orleans. Every other place we tried didn't compare to this one. I highly recommend stopping by next time you're on Bourbon Street.
Great location. Outside seating on the balcony. Great spot to watch all the action on the streets. Our waiter was very fun and upbeat. Delivered our food and drinks in a timely fashion. I'm going to be blatantly honest though. This was my first food stop in New Orleans. I got the jambalaya because I've been jonsin for some creole. This jambalaya was sad. Colorless. Warm, almost cold and barely any chicken and sausage. I normally only give 5 stars out to places but the food Igot here was not impressive.
We came across this place while walking Bourbon street when the host saw us an asked if we would like to get a bite to eat and sit on the balcony with a view of Bourbon Street! We was so glad we chose to come here. The views from the balcony were amazing and the food was delicious! They had so many drink options and each one we tried was delicious and unique! It was a super fun environment and every worker was friendly and upbeat. I highly recommend here! Make sure tosit on the balcony for the best experience!
The host informed me that they do not take reservations, despite my booking a table for 14 people a month in advance. However, it was not a problem as we were still able to be seated and order our meals without any issues. It was a bachelor party, and we were quite boisterous, which seemed to bother the three older women sitting next to us, who made some comments under their breath as we left. I chose not to react, as I couldn't help but think, "You do realize you're on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, right? It's not exactly a quiet dining spot." Nonetheless, the food was delicious, and the service was satisfactory. Everyone in our group enjoyed the meal.
While attending Jazzfest in town, our group of 6 had a delightful dinner at Cornet before heading to see the Preservation Hall Jazz Band across the street. Our server was patient and efficient, answering all of our questions about the regional menu selections and delivering our meals promptly. We all agreed that the dinner was a standout experience during our culinary adventure in New Orleans, and we would definitely recommend Cornet to others. We hope to visit again in the future.
