Good accommodation even on short notice. Nice showers, decent dorm room. Lovely staff.
Decent little backpackers. Cheapest place in town. Small kitchen but has everything you need. Decent showers and toilet. Simple dorm room and free laundry. Friendly host lady and the WiFi is decent, can stream YouTube no problem.
This old nice hotel has everything you may need and at a very cheap price! The kitchen is small but has all the dishes for cooking plus salt, oil and some spices. You can even bake a cake thanks to the little oven! Moreover the hotel has 3 fridges which means lots of space for your food. The common space of the lounge offer free wifi for all the guests. Free is also the use of the washing machines and the drier. The place welcomes people from all over the world and the vibes here are great but it can be a bit empty in certain periods. The rooms are very well insulated and you won't hear the loud music of the closest pubs. The beds are very comfortable too. Everything was very clean and in order. The hostel is well located, close to the gorgeous park and the centre. A well furnished shop with Mediterranean and some asian products are right next to the hotel, thing you may be interested on if you spend your festivities in Nelson (I found some yummy torcetti and also a cute little panettone! . This is a great spot for all the outdoors activities and hikes you may wanna do. I based myself here for the Great Walk.To conclude, the owner is the kindest person in town: just ask her if you need help with anything and she'll surely help you.
Very loud until 2 in the morning on a Thursday. Do not recommend if you want to ever sleep.
