Rubyo's - Newtown

For our significant birthday experience with 12 people, including adult, youthful and children, it was very good. eating was great and service was excellent. highly recommended.

Eating at rubyo is always great. have eaten there in a series of places and it is always good and very valuable.

The food is quite good and offers great value, complemented by an acceptable wine list. The service is friendly and attentive. However, the restaurant lacks a pleasant atmosphere. The music, which is solely vocal, detracts from a relaxed dining experience. Additionally, the lighting is too bright and cannot be softened. The benches are also too low for the height of the tables, unless you are exceptionally tall. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

The food was incredible, with the calamari stealing the spotlight, but every dish was fantastic.

We opted for the seafood tasting menu, and while the food was decent, it felt more like a small portion of what you might find at a pub. Given the price of $50 per person for just the food, I expected something more impressive. The staff were friendly, but the ambiance of the place didn’t have anything particularly special to offer.
