We sat outside on the small square guarded by the streets. eating was perfect and it seemed as if every dish was carefully cured to fit in a traditional French three cure, not too little or too much. from the fresh broth and oil, to the lamb and the tiramisu everyone was to die. simple, but with taste, is recommended at any time!
All the food is organic and carefully prepared. We had specific dietary requirements and they were met very well. Nothing was too much trouble. This is a meat restaurant and we are vegetarians with severe allergies. We started with a delicious gazpacho soup followed by...a really yummy veggie burger and then finished off with a raspberry pavlova. A great meal with great smiling service. Highly recommended.
This restaurant was convenient to where I am staying and I arrived on a Friday night. The restaurant was completely overwhelmed, with just one server and (as far as I could tell), one cook. I sat for 20 minutes before even being offered a menu!...A first course salad was promising, with fresh tomatoes and a garnish of pumpkin and sesame seeds. However the leg of lamb was tough as shoe leather, and the accompanying mashed potatoes were also garnished with seeds. Must they put seeds on everything?!
We felt really lucky to have been squeezed in from the outside, clearly the restaurant has a smaller capacity, and even with a different language to the proprietor we were invited in when a table became available. We had, everything. Literally, much to the shock...of our neighbours who couldn't conceive that we could finish a main each and all of the accompaniments possible. Each was delicious, albeit not all to our tastes, the gratin had a touch of cinammon that I enjoyed but my partner didn't. Oh well, more for me! The owner was polite, warm and interesting, we were the last in there and at no point were we encouraged to leave in anyway. The food was delicious, and the owners relationship with customers is to be admired. The wine was so good I had too much to remember what it was. Shame!
