Southern Eats - Norfolk

This restaurant is best suited for those who have a strong connection to Southern cuisine. I personally enjoy the sautéed green beans, but I am not a fan of the pimento cheese in their grilled cheese dish or the texture of their "Mom's Meatloaf." If you're unsure of what to order, the chicken tenders basket is a safe choice. The raspberry tea is quite tart, but I personally enjoy sour drinks, so I may be a bit biased in that regard.

The food was average (4). Our server was unfriendly (1). (11/22/2021). The waitress attending to the three men at the nearby table was more pleasant to us than our own. The food was good enough to come back for, but the server in all black was not. Food 4. Service 2. Overall 3.

The last time I went to the restaurant, I ordered the chicken dinner with greens, sweet potato biscuits, and ziti with cheese. My first experience was amazing, but I think it may have been because the manager was there. This time, the food was not as good, so I had to lower my review. The chicken was too deep fried, the greens were too sweet, and they forgot to bring my biscuits. Overall, the dish was below average in terms of presentation and taste. Maybe it's because my first experience was so good.

First visit here! Food was delicious! Especially the fish!! Crunchy very flavorful, fresh cut fries, and Chesapeake bay chicken ???? . Great environment, plenty of room, great service period! We?ll be visiting again
