Northbridge Chinese Restaurant

We love it, tried many different Yum Cha's but always come back to here. Authentic, friendly and well priced!! Highly recommend! @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

The service was perhaps one of the worst I've experienced. The staff were obviously getting ready to go and were abrupt with taking our order and demanding we pay the bill while we were eating. It was disappointing because the food was fairly tasty. Multiple staff hovered around our table waiting for us to finish and started taking plates we were clearly still eating from. Not tasty enough to go again. I wish they had just said the kitchen was closed wheb we arrived.

The pork bone soup was good???? And the lobster noodles were ok???? But the honey pepper beef was to sweet???? The fried fish was to boney???? But it was ok????

Quick and Dirty Very disappointing overall at the yum cha. Pros:  Super fast service and food Relatively cheap Authenticity Cons: Bad service Hit and miss food Dirty table and utensils Table was dirty when I arrived When I asked for a knife, it came to me  dirty!! Food was hit and miss, squid fresh and tasty , prawn dumpling very nice also. Yam dumpling very bad, pork bun overly sweet, mediocre. Food was very fast and staff were a bit pushy. The staff didn't really understand English that well and it felt authentic in a way. Really unfriendly staff wam bam thank you mam, in and out. Its not that I have high standards but it is not that hard to give reasonable service. Food 2.5/5 service 1/5

Coming off a cruise we had dinner here on a Saturday night and came back for yum Cha on Monday morning. The place was busy and we can see all The staff are coping but just. The lady boss had to do the cashiering, serving and of all things fishing out the lobsters herself!! Most things are average. Service, food quality and quantity and the price. I don't mind going back there. Still better than most restaurants in box hill and Doncaster areas of Melbourne.
