The Skye Bar - Northbridge

Went here for lunch and had the steak which was cooked to perfection. At $18 you can't really go wrong. The outside area is really nice and relaxing on a sunny summer day.

Booked a team xmas lunch.  Tables weren't set up for lunch as requested.  We pre-ordered, to ensure our meals would be delivered quickly...ended up waiting 45 mins for the meals and everything was cold.  Service was non existent with attitude from the staff when it came to paying.  Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone in Northbridge  *thumbs down*

We booked our Christmas lunch (12 people), when we arrived they were not prepared for a booking of 12 ( they made a comment in respect to this, but we booked, there was no surprises), they seemed completely un-organised. Although most meals had flavour, they were cold, and typical of Perth cafe dining small portions for too big a dollar amount. Majority of the 12 people would not recommend the cafe to our friends and family.

Decided to get a scoopon deal for 4 people. It included beer, wine or soft drink along with BBQ ribs, chips and salad. The ribs were excellent, juicy and full of flavour. Chips were shoestring style and well salted. The salad was fresh and tangy. All in all I was well impressed and would come back again to sample more of their wares as well as the all day breakfast menu. Prices are more than reasonable and the serves are huge! Well done Old Mother Hubbard Cafe. You are doing it right! A+ WILL DINE AGAIN

Food was actually very good - ribs were flavoursome and well presented and filling. Even the salad combination worked well. But service was almost non existent, despite being only one of two tables. No record of our booking (we had a scoopon-type voucher) and although the lady attending to us was helpful, it took ages to get anyone's attention. Menu looked good, but make sure you're not in a hurry.
