We went on a Saturday night and it seemed to be very quiet, although several people came to collect food to takeaway. The food was excellent - the kebabs on skewers tasted like those I'd eaten in Iran in the early 1970s and the ashak were beautiful. The Qabli Palaw was delicious, and the lamb just fell apart. To follow I had firni - a sweet, scented, custardy pudding sprinkled with nuts. Everything tasted like proper home-cooked food, and was nicely served, and the portions, I thought, were just right. It's a shame I live in Darwin, and I'm looking forward to visiting Rumi Palace again.
Best Persian food in SA. Amazing family running it hands on! BYO. Fresh and tasty. Slow food because it's authentic!
Best eggplant I've ever eaten (Borani banjan) but everything was delicious! Ghabli palaw (rice dish) was also to die for!
WoW ... I've just eaten the best dahl in years ... even better than many I've eaten in India ...Yellow ... creamy ... sweet and spicy ... perfect with rice and a serving of bread.I love dahl and this dish was simply fantastic ... cannot wait to go back! The service was calm, friendly and attentive!!!
Alone and with family and friends I have frequented Rumi Palace many times. Simple and quiet ambiance, not overly attentive service (staff with mature attitude). Food of perfect balance between flavour and spice. BYO is icing on the cake.
