El Mono Feliz - Ojochal De Osa

What a fantastic and peaceful place. the entire anwesen is a magical garden with exceptional flowers, a river with a covered yoga with hammocks and a sparkling pool. when we eat a delicious breakfast, we saw the beautiful birds feed, countless hummingbirds and heard howler monkeys, papageien and toucans. we were in the garden/ jungle room and we were very comfortable, had everything we needed, including Wi-Fi, great ac, and everything was impeccable. the neighbourhood was safe and close to the best restaurants, beaches, waterfalls etc. claire was a gracious host to ensure that everything is correct, professional and safe transport of sjo, activities and excellent advice and suggestions to arrange. we were 5 nights highly recommended and will definitely stay again :

Stumbled this place on happy cow and decided to stay for a night. The place is really serene there’s a beautiful garden with birds and a small stream, and at the edge of it, an area with hammocks and a view to a river. There’s also a refreshing pool, and several dogs and a cat on the hotels’ grounds ; The breakfast is vegan we had coffee (with soy milk! , French toast and a fresh fruit salad. Different options everyday. Also, the crew owner were extremely nice and friendly and gave us a warm welcoming and a lot of tips for our next destination in Costa Rica. I highly recommend this place

We enjoyed our time in el mono feliz and wish we had more days. the service is top notch including mobile conceirage service and small touches that make them feel important. patrick was amazing to give us recommendations for tours, restaurants and sunset sites. his service made me want more. the vegan breakfasts were fabulous and the conversation was so fun. I would highly recommend the el mono feliz as this place has beautiful tropical plots, magnificent pool, sweet little wood bungalows and is guided by hearty people. I love it and come back to my return to costa rica. thank you for everything.

This hotel was the best we have ever stayed in. Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Mike and Diana, who made us feel like we were visiting friends and family. Our honeymoon stay was absolutely fantastic, starting with the amazing vegan breakfast options. The staff provided us with information on local activities and excursions, ensuring everything was well-organized and exceeded our expectations. They were always helpful, polite, and even assisted us in practicing our Spanish. Without even mentioning that it was our honeymoon, Mike and Diana surprised us with a bottle of champagne in our room. The attention to detail, hospitality, and overall charm of the property made our stay truly magical. We are incredibly grateful to the staff at Hotel el Mono Feliz, especially Mike and Diana, for their hard work, kindness, and exceptional hospitality. We highly recommend this hidden gem for anyone visiting Ojochal.

This restaurant is a beautiful and peaceful place. It is comfortable and the host, Claire, is a wonderful person who is always willing to help. The breakfast is fantastic, and there is also a yoga platform and hammock by the river for guests to enjoy and relax. I will definitely be returning in the future.
