When I say time capsule, I mean time capsule. This looks from the 80s the early 80s both inside and outside. In today's retro obsessed world, it actually kind of work. This is a “mom and pop” type joint, so service is actually quite decent. The staff is surprisingly young, but the manager was very visible. The food is decent, but it is a bit stuck in a time capsule as well as 80s Tex mex was not as tasteful as we expect today, but it is still decent in price, appearance and taste. I'll be back and I hope it's a little bit around.
It wasn't long since we were here 15 years ago. Still great Tex-Mex! Queso is worth buying, warm chips, amazing salsa. Refried beans and rice with enchiladas are still my favorite, but others at the table are cut over their queensadilla, burrito and salad. Margaritas also delicious!
This place has very good food and drinks. You have a drink called Swirl that is Sangria and frozen Margarita together and it is very good. But was not too impressed by the service. Ordered drinks and servers did not return to receive our food order for a while. Server asked if we wanted our drinks to go and say they never returned, and it was already a considerable time. I would normally forgive it if there was a busy night, but there were many tables to fill.
The margaritas are strong, but not overwhelming, the food is okay. I have the liberation and Pollo con arroz n frijoles. Maybe we have ordered wrong items, will go back because the drinks are def worth visiting chips, salsa, n gauc
