Dakshin Indian Cuisine - Orlando

I had the best Indian food I've experienced in a long time! I also loved the traditional Indian decor; you can tell they put a lot of effort into every detail. The service was fantastic, and the food was incredible! I will definitely be returning!

We visited Dakshin tired from Resort Essen and were immediately hacked. The fluffy Kerala style porotta and chicken chettinad were so good that we ended the Junk resort food completely ditching. Although we were there on Friday/Ostwochenende 2019, Jenny and Sam helped us take care of us during our visit. Her fish Bestichathu was also cooked brilliantly with the spices that penetrate all the way inward! Brilliant South Indian Restaurant visiting Orlando.

Highly recommended! I had never tried Indian food before, and I was looking for something different from pizza and burgers. I have to say, I really enjoyed it. This has become my new favorite spot in town. I 100% recommend it!

Fantastic service and outstanding vegetarian dishes, especially the papadam. I highly recommend trying the Dum Aloo Chettinad and the Masala tea. The Basmati rice was perfect, and we thoroughly enjoyed the steamed rice cake appetizer. Although this restaurant is nestled among some cheesy chain eateries, it has a beautiful interior with intriguing woodcut art from India. It's truly a hidden gem. While it may be a bit pricey, that's typical for Orlando. We had enough food to enjoy for lunch the next day.

The food was good but the service was very slow that that...probably they had 2 large groups that time and we had to wait for a looong time for our order to get served. Thankfully the owner was kind enough to suggest a plate of Idly for the kids as they were getting restless.
