La Fogata - Orlando

We were searching for a good Colombian restaurant in Orlando and came across La Fogata on Google. First off, the music wasn’t the Colombian vibe we expected. The tables weren’t very clean, and the menu? Wow! We were taken aback by the prices. The food didn’t have the authentic Colombian flavors we were hoping for, which was disappointing. To sum it up, our total bill, including tip, was $110.00 for three people. There were several aspects that make me reluctant to return.

The food was excellent, but I had a troubling experience with my receipt. After I signed it, they altered the tip amount, which was different from what was deducted from my bank account—it was higher. This is completely unacceptable! I've tried reaching out to the restaurant, but they keep hanging up on me. I understand that they automatically include an 18% tip in the bill, but it's outrageous to change it to a higher amount without consent!

Was on Sunday around 7:30pm. Definitely they need a new chef, they have all they need so they just need to cook right. I can tell when the meat is not even cook well, eggs came a little raw, beans without flavor, chicharrón skin not crunchy. Price it’s ok due the meat cuts. Place doesn’t have a floor design for better presentation, speed of service on average.

We were looking for a Colombian restaurant in Orlando. The food on a scale of 1-10, I gave it 4. I waited a while for my food to come out. My husband's came out 1st; I wish I thought it was strange. I ordered the shrimp with garlic sauce. The shrimp was overcooked, and the sauce was salty. My husband ordered surf and turf shrimp overcooked, and he asked for his steak medium-well. He got medium-rare. She took the plate, and she whispered something I could not hear. We asked for natural juices, and I had more water than passion fruit. I asked the waitress to add more passion fruit, but she got annoyed. There has to be better Colombian food in the Orlando area.
