It also came with a delicious corn muffin. While waiting for my order, I couldn’t resist trying the fried fish accompanied by cabbage and beans, along with a slice of sweet potato cake. I will definitely be returning soon. The atmosphere was lively and the conversation was engaging and humorous. I wholeheartedly recommend OLEY'S to anyone who enjoys a soul food meal.
We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. I had my heart set on dining at Nikki's Place, but unfortunately, they were closed. Luckily, we discovered Oley's nearby. The service was a bit slow, but given how busy the restaurant was and the fact that there was only one server handling everything, it was understandable. I ordered the fried piping, and it was excellent—cooked to perfection with a nice kick. I recommend trying the fried dumplings; they are a delightful little treat. One thing to note is that all the food comes packed to go, even if you choose to eat inside. Lastly, the restaurant could really use some renovation or modernization, as the decor is quite uninviting.
We visited Oleys the last day of our trip to Orlando the service was great the guy who took our orders gave us sme history on the restaurant and the neighborhood he was so nice and helpful the food was seasoned and tasted good the prices were also very affordable we will definitely be back when we visit Orlando again made is feel like we were home we visited from Dallas Tx
If I had known that my white rice would be almost inedible and nearly raw, I would have thought twice. The chickpeas were more tough than anything else, and the yams were lacking sweetness; they had no sugar, cinnamon, or butter, and the greens weren’t even boiled in vinegar. It felt like too many cooks were in the kitchen, resulting in an overwhelming blend of different flavors that just didn’t work. The owner was all over the place, taking orders instead of focusing on the front counter, which I found a bit disorganized. Ultimately, the food wasn’t worth the wait or the money spent. I was truly disappointed, especially since I love supporting Black-owned businesses. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.
Very nice family restaurant. I greeted my entrance. Ordnete BBQ rib dinner with baked beans cabbage. So much to choose. Also chocolate cake. My order is to go. Wait a short 10-15 minutes. I wish I had come here earlier at my stay in Orlando.
