Lalo's - Oxnard

Had a GREAT evening, our waitress Laura was very attentive to our needs. The food, the ambience bomb�!! Definitely our favorite Mexican restaurant

I was extremely hungover and needed a cure. So we googled best menudo and Lalo’s pops up. Well I must say it smells so good walking in to be seated. The waitress and waiters are so friendly and helpful. The menu has something for everyone. We had the menudo that reminded me so much of moms cooking. Not to mention the flour tortillas are like home made. I did have the mango margarita with chamoy which was to die for. Highly recommend and we will be returning.

Overall the food is solid and is well portioned ...not stingy like some other places ...only issue was that the hostess was rude when we arrived...but the server was really nice ...

I was just in this Saturday afternoon and I have to say WOWZA!!! This is not my first time at Lalo’s but today was my favorite. I ordered the molcajete cielo tierra y mar and also the shrimp botana. First of all presentation is key and the plates have a great presentation. Food was hot and deliciously made. For me everything was delicious. Place is nicely decorated and just reminds you of a Mexican celebration. Staff was slow and we constantly had to ask for what we needed. At first our waiter seemed to not be having such a good day but later his attitude changed. The rest of the staff were really nice. They are a bit pricey but some of these plates would serve two and it did because I was with a brother. Overall, experience was great and I highly recommend this place. This food was really, really good. I travel once a year to Oxnard and make sure I have Mariscos when I’m there. I had the carne Asada tacos, beans from the pot and the Cóctel de camarones. The salsa went great with the beans and chips. The service was good. I had to wait about 20 minutes on a Saturday. It was worth the wait. I dined alone but wanted to order much more to try. A spot to definitely revisit.
