Cool little place. Nice decor and music selection. Food is really good; prices are reasonable. They were out of at least one thing we ordered in each round, but the variety options gave us easy and fast back-up. It was the service that cheapened the experience. It wasn’t busy. Two tables of two in the entire upstairs. Nobody downstairs. The fella we had waiting on us wasn’t rude, but seemed pretty put out by our mere existence and appeared to be checking on the other table pretty frequently, so I get the feeling we did something he didn’t like. Just don’t know what. And judging by the other reviews, my experience seems to be an outlier. I travel and dine out a lot and am pretty low key. Here’s the deal: At the end of the day, it’s a big city. I’d say just pass on this place. You’ll find food that’s equally as good with service that doesn’t spoil the taste. But if you go, you’ll definitely be happy with the food.
Had garlic shrimp, seafood pasta, coconut rice and ripe plantains. They were excellent and service was very good. Glad we read review about must order coconut rice!! They had English menu and server spoke English so it was very easy for us to order.
