Godfather Pizza is outstanding. The crust and dough have a fantastic texture that can support the generous toppings they offer. The Caesar salad is also the best I’ve found among any restaurants at the Montage property. Additionally, Naomi was incredibly knowledgeable and provided excellent recommendations, while our server Miguel was attentive and helpful.
I can't provide a fair rating since we were informed that you must be a guest at the Montage to dine there, so we never had the opportunity to eat at the restaurant. I didn't want to leave a negative review; I just wanted to make others aware of the guest requirement.
If I could I would leave a review of no stars. This experience was a nightmare. We walked into a nearly empty restaurant and asked for a table. They asked if we had a reservation and we said no. They put us on the waitlist, and we waited for and hour and a half even though we saw at least 15 open tables the whole time we waited. They said it was because reservations were a priority but it seemed as though there weren?t any reservations. Once we finally got seated, are server gave us water. Then we waited 45 minutes before we ordered. At that point we had just decided to get the kids option because everything on the menu requires a advanced palette, but when we asked to order from the kids buffet, they said they would have to charge us double because adults eat more. While we were sitting and waiting we saw on four person table get cleaned by three separate people, a server refill the children?s buffet twice, and multiple food safety codes broken. I have nothing against the waiter, but the overall presentation and service of the restaurant is abismal.
Do NOT stop here for lunch if you 're skiing! We entered at our reservation time of 1pm. Ordered within first 10 minutes. We ended up canceling our order and left at 2pm after asking when we would get our food several times and getting responses of 10 minutes more each time. When you spend so much money on lift tickets and are prepared to spend premium prices on burgers and sandwiches, you expect to not have to ask multiple times about the status of your food. And if issues on a particular day means it will take over an hour from ordering to food arriving, again for burgers and sandwiches, it should be communicated before being seated. For a supposed luxury resort, this place laid waste to our afternoon and experience. The server was friendly but not trained because not escalating the situation with his manager (assuming a manager would care) and not treating or nearly hour delay before we left with any urgency or communicating updates with us until we asked each time is an embarrassment to and a blight on the customer service of Deer Valley. When I worked in the restaurant business, managers monitored the food preparation time and greets tables personally if there were problems. Clearly this is not the case hear. I 've had far better service at Applebee 's! No joke.
