Woah Virgin Australia you've changed! New Terminal 1 at Perth Airport terminal for domestic and international travel is unexpectedly impressive. Check in is a breeze once you figure out how to use the self service kiosks with friendly staff on hand. I remember there only used to be 2 3 cafe options in the old domestic terminal, and now there is at least 10 like Toby's Estate Coffee, Salsa's Mexican and funky cafe/bar Long Neck by Public House. Immersive installations by WA artists have been commissioned by FORM and make the spaces feel thought out and welcoming. I love the floating rose gold netting! All in all, I'm a little bit in love and I never thought I would say that about an airport.
Colour me impressed. Good effort Virgin Australia on such an swish terminal. Checking in simplified with first online check in, followed by bag drop. As you enter, at kiosk just scan in boarding pass and luggage tag printed. Tag your bag, set it in the belt and you are in your way. Super easy. Food options a bit sparse at 6 a.m but the WH Smith has good books what else would you need? . Don't be one of those people who whinge about the price of water when you could have just brought a Bobble water bottle instead. Shame on you for creating more plastic waste. Prices for food and drink are high as usual in Perth and airports everywhere . Love the design here but could do with more greenery. Virgin Australia definitely winning here!
Very similar to the one in Brisbane, almost like a carbon copy, very clean, and is a good way to relax before the long flight home.
This airline has the most amazing service!! A group of my friends and I were traveling to Australia from Los Angeles and we ran into so many issues, but Vincent and Michelle were so helpful!! They helped us made accommodations for our electronic visas, and worked with one of the girls in our group because our travel agent failed to notify the airline about a peanut allergy. Overall they made something that could've been a really terrible experience... really amazing!! They were so polite and professional in the process!! You guys rock, I can't wait to fly back with them!!
