Each dish was around $25, but it included either soup or salad and bread, so I thought it was a great value considering the high quality.
Definitely had high expectations for the fettucini alfredo after reading the reviews. It did not live up to the hype and even olive garden alfredo is better. The butter pecan cake is also nothing special, maybe if it was made with a buttercream icing and not whipped cream. The only thing that really stood out(in a good way) was the house salad and that's because the ranch was good and had a unique flavor.
We made a reservation for Saturday with Dan the owner/chef. He was very friendly over the phone. We wanted dinner before going to the play at the Benedum. We arrived early for our 5.30 reservarion and they were able to seat us straightaway. The menu has good options and the place is BYOB, we saw many tables with wine or beer. Our server was great and attentive cosidering how many tables she had. The place is small and it gets wuite loud in there. But the service is efficient, we got bread and oil with our drinks. The entrees come with a soup or salad, both were good options. We got the arancini was great, you get 4 pieces with blue cheese on a bed of spinach. For entrees we got the chicken Romano, Chicken Parmigiana, the special scallops and shrimp and a GF rice linguine was tasty. Overall for being on the Northside this is a great Italian spot. The size does make it loud in there, but the tables are spaced comfortably so that you do not feel cramped. The coconut cream pie was the hit of the evening and so big it fed 3 of us.
Food was phenomenal, service was also phenomenal. the chicken romano was to die for.
Nice little local spot with American-Italian cuisine. I’ve never had anything bad here. Love the Spaghetti dish and the Eggplant Parm dish.
