Canton Palace Chinese Restaurant

Great food, lousy house wine, over zealous staff. Dishes (one seafood, other Mongolian combination) arrived on sizzling hotplates. Very tasty and just enough. Tip for customers: do not order the red house caraf if you like wine. It was lolly water! Tip for waiting staff: please stop 'hovering' to check if customer has finished eating. Very annoying.

Welcoming staff and the food was ok. The owner was very surprised that we had found the place. It seemed like only the locals eat there. ( they had an all you can eat option that evening - so they came out of the woodwork ).If you have to stay in Portland this is where id eat !

I have been to Canton Palace many times. Most times will be on Wednesday's or Saturday's when they have the Buffet nights. ( 3 Courses if you can eat them). So many delicious dishes to choose from.

I've had the pleasure of eating here twice during recent business trips to Portland. Service is spot on, as is the food. I particularly enjoyed the Schezuan Seafood. Very reasonably priced and well worth a visit.

Yes we had to go back to this nice little restaurant, the food as ever - was very nice and we had a most enjoyable evening.
