The Snack Shack At Saltery Bay

They had had a busy weekend but still managed to create a very tasty vege cheese wrap for us. Not licensed. Basic takeaway, but pleasant service.

The hand-cut fries are seasoned well with sea salt and very tasty. However, the burger was undercooked in the middle so I had to send it back, and the second time the hot dog was also not cooked properly. On the bright side, the fries are delicious!

I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the food at this small restaurant. For $13, I enjoyed one of the best burgers I have ever had, with delicious house-made and seasoned patties, fantastic 'secret' sauce, and fresh toppings. The fries were also top-notch. I would say this burger is even better than what you would find at a popular chain like Cactus Club.

Real cheddar, real meaty bacon, real hand formed meat, real food. This is a must stop. Way better than ferry food and the portions are huge. Everything was fresh fresh fresh.

This restaurant is conveniently located near the ferry terminal and remains open year-round. It is reminiscent of a food truck but is stationary. The owner takes great care to offer food that is either freshly made on site or locally sourced organic ingredients. The prices are affordable and the atmosphere is cozy, making you feel right at home. I would much rather dine here than on the 45-minute ferry ride.
