Munchees - Reading

The food in here is ok and the staff seem to be attentive. Dropped 2 stars because some of the orange seats desperately need cleaning.

Reasonable and fair value fried breakfast and perfect after a big night out in Reading. As mentioned elsewhere, quite greasy, especially the fried bread, which with no substitutions can 't be swapped for toast, so probably ends up in the bin.

We all left happy having eaten two English breakfasts, a veggie English breakfast (including fried bread delicious! , and a cheese and onion toastie. Would recommend.

I came in here with my family. We were seated at a dirty table which I had to ask to be cleaned. When the breakfasts arrived they were over cooked, poorly delivered with cheap poor quality ingredients used. Sausages over cooked, poached eggs rock hard, fried eggs broken, bacon over cooked. Mushrooms were great which really was the only positive. I was also either overcharged or it is really expensive. I did challenge the guy at the checkout but he insisted it was correct but the strange way they do the payment could be easily fiddled. I eat in a lot of cafes and this is one I certainly won’t be eating in again.

I stopped in for the first time ever despite living in Reading area for all over 10 years. I'm sad I've not tried it before. I was served promptly, the food was all really nicely cooked and presented, and finally, my coffee was nice too (often a Pret customer). Price wise, I thought the breakfast was good value for money, and I'll definitely make a note to visit again.
