Silverleaves General Store and Cafe

While on a rogaining treasure hunt adventure in Silverleaves, we took a break to relax at the Silverleaves store and enjoyed some excellent coffee.

The Silverleaves General Store and Cafe is a hidden gem. Situated away from the hustle and bustle of Cowes, this hotel offers visitors an authentic local experience. Their coffee is top-notch and the food is deliciously delicate. Be sure to try the delicate burrito - it's simply unbeatable!

The restaurant is in a fantastic location, especially in the summer when the veranda is covered with beautiful leaves. However, the coffee falls short compared to Melbourne standards. I ordered a latte and found the milk consistency to be great, but the coffee itself was weak. The menu is also quite limited, likely due to the small kitchen and high volume of customers during the summer months.

Hard to mistake for the native in silver leaves is a little hidden gem. used to fight and the grim old management, but under the new management is fantastic, well organized staff and service and the coffee is great. is real quality coffee food....A must visit and coffee!

We like to go for a long beach walk and break the journey with coffee and cake or lunch at this little café in the middle of no where. The food is excellent and the coffee good. They do an extensive range of gluten free...items. We were there on Saturday and I was a little dismayed by the service. We walked in the door and before we had a chance to blink a young woman behind the cash register opposite the door demanded to know what we wanted. We didn't have a chance to get our bearings or see the menu or make any kind of decision. What was she thinking! Couldn't she just greet us? They used to have the register to one side..a much better arrangement. I nearly walked out. Anyway we stayed and had a pleasant meal in the courtyard. Although it was cold there were screaming children inside.
