Off Broad - Rome

Very busy, waitress once we got her attention), made our drinks. We decided not to eat because it would take too long. Prices were a little high, but very nice atmosphere.

There's no question, this is about as classy and chill as Rome gets. Nice dog-friendly hotel attached.

We had to wait a few minutes for them to clear a table, and we were seated. After 10 minutes of nobody approaching us and it being my wife's birthday we got up and left. For such a highly rated restaurant this was very disappointing.

Really nice bar and restaurant, mixed food. The bar area is very nicely managed and ‘owned’ by the bar keeper who greets everyone as they enter and makes them feel welcome. Small selection of local beers (I think 3 on tap July 2023) will suit some, but not all tastes. Outstanding whisky and bourbon selection and a solid wine list. Really comfortable and pleasant atmosphere too. Why only fours star then? Am I a miserable perfectionist? Errrr sort of, yes I am. The food we ordered included fried artichokes that were over seasoned, battered and deep fried completely obscuring the taste of the artichokes and pan fried fish that had stayed in the pan too long and become hard. That said, as we becoming frequent visitors to Rome we will be back!

Very nice place with a nice bar but the food was just okay. The hamburger patty tasted premade. the fried chicken patties were definitely frozen before fried. The fries were good though. The drinks weren't bad but for a bar that nice you would think they would add garnish to the drinks. The waitress was great though! I have mixed feelings about this place.. may or may not be back.
